The Kiev dissident milieu of the early 80s: the times of mass arrests are over and yet the KGB continues to censor mail and in general remains as sceptical of foreigners as ever. Here, all difficulties aside, three samizdat authors maintain a relationship heavily shaped by their fluctuations in personal and political sentiment. When two of the three realise their dream of emigrating to Paris they do gain their physical freedom, their creative urges however appear to desert them along the way.

A quite instinctively sequenced reflection on political constraints, inner-psychoses and home as an anti-place of sorts we nevertheless feel compelled to return to.
