BLACK DOGS BARKING
Until now Selim and ChaCha had been working for the car park mafia in Istanbul. On learning of the opportunity to take over the security of a luxury shopping centre in the city centre, they believe themselves to have stumbled upon an opportunity of a lifetime. They don't, however, reckon with the unruliness of the current head of security and the vengeance of their former patron.
Alongside the thriller plot the film shows an absorbing portrait of youth beyond the clichéd images of postcard idyll and street life, in which downtown Istanbul is presented as an oppressive city characterised by mutual dependencies.

Mehmet Bahadır Er, Maryna Gorbach - Mehmet Bahadır Er – born 1982 in Kocaeli, Turkey. Studied Film and Television Studies at Mimar Sinan University in Istanbul.
Maryna Gorbach – born 1981 in Kiev. Graduated in 2005 from the National University of Theatre, Cinema and TV in Kiev and thereupon studied Stage Direction at the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing in Warsaw.
