Romania in the sixties: party functionary Tavi arrives with a projector and an outdated Soviet propaganda film in a remote Transylvanian village. The mobile cinema is by no means enthusiastically embraced however: disinterest, continuous rain and a quite intentional power cut prove cause for consternation and promptly lead to a party trial. When even the local cultural functionary refuses to reciprocate Tavis' affections, the relationship between the peasants and the doctrinal elite is forever shattered.
A tragicomic metaphor about the relationship between the party and its foundations.
