Kirill Petrovich is building a villa, using not
exactly legal means. When his honest neighbour
and fellow comrade from the Afghanistan
war Andrei Gavrilovich Dubrovsky expresses his
doubts, Kirill resolves to have him sidelined.
In fact the village and its commune are also
to be ruined with the help of a well-organised
legal trap. When Andrei suffers a heart attack,
from he passes away days later, his son rushes
home from Moscow to the provinces, where
together with the village locals he organises
resistance. An entertaining crime thriller based
on Pushkin‘s novella, which exposes the system
of family bonds, money, politics and Mafia
structures in Russia.
