You don’t have to put up with everything! Lvovich comes into conflict with the village community. Having already purchased the village club and turned it into a sawmill, a source of personal profit, he now wants to sell a stretch of woodland to the governor, so the latter can build there. He hasn’t reckoned with the resolve of the locals however.

Kolya Mironyh attempts to convince greedy Lvovich of the significance that the woodland in question holds for the local community. Having understood that his efforts are in vain, he stumbles upon an ingenious solution that takes everybody by surprise. Coherently narrated, Ignat Kachan’s first short film exemplifies the fact that one doesn’t have to accept fate lying down: hopeless though a situation might appear, it is always worth attempting to convince your counterpart of the importance of the common good. Ignat Kachan - born in 1992 in Minsk, Belarus. After two years he left the Belarusian State Academy of Arts where he studied acting of drama theatre and films. He became a self-taught director and cinematographer and began to shoot social advertising and art commercials in 2013. In 2016 he founded the film studio “BK Films”.
