A bomb is obviously a weapon and thus, according to Belarus law, needs to be handed over to the state. For this very reason the man loads it into his old Lada and heads to the nearest police station, in what turns out to be the beginning of a long journey.
This humorous production sees director Mikhail Parkhomenka narrate the difficulties involved in adhering to the multitude of contradictory rules and regulations of Belarusian law. In the process however the film progressively evolves into a bitter satire full of biting social criticism. MM
