Online it’s all so easy: one click, quickly scroll down and already you know what your Facebook friends have experienced over the past hours and days. Like a photo, send an emoticon, leave a couple of quick comments; there’s nothing to it. Unable to believe that he would actually come to Minsk, Liza isn’t prepared for Anton’s arrival and yet she welcomes him into her flat. They subsequently get on well and yet the time drags; thus they resolve to head out into the winter city.

In this lively film with a contemporary twist director Nella Vasilevskaya opens the viewer’s eyes to the universe of the current young generation, one that has long gone global. MM

Nella Vasilevskaya - born in 1989 in Soroki, Belarus. In 2017 she received a masters degree in feature film directing from the Belarussian State Academy of Arts. During her studies she completed more than ten short films, which were shown and received awards at multiple international festivals.
