Right after its double win at the FilmFestival Cottbus (FIPRESCI-Prize and Prize of the Ecumenical Jury), the Hungarian director Attila Till is able to reap more praise for TISZTA SZÍVVEL/KILLS ON WHEELS in the form of not one, but six awards in Thessaloniki and Arras, respectively.
The film portraying three wheelchair users who join forces as hitmen swept jury, critics and audiences off their feet at the 2016 Arras Film Festival in France, taking home a total of four awards: the Jury “Coup de Coeur” Award, Audience Award, Critics’ Award and the Young Jury Award. The same weekend TISZTA SZÍVVEL/KILLS ON WHEELS was awarded the Golden Alexander for Best full-length Feature Film at the 57th Thessaloniki International Film Festival. The actors’ trio of Zoltán Fenyvesi, Szabolcs Thuróczy and Adám Fekete also conquered the Best Actor Award.
Congratulations!
TISZTA SZÍVVEL/KILLS ON WHEELS was pitched at the coproduction market connecting cottbus in 2012 and is Hungary’s candidate for the foreign language-Oscar 2017.
