Croatian producer Miljenka Čogelja, producer of the FFC-winning film 2022 A SAFE PLACE, is one of the 20 young producers who will be attending the Cannes Film Festival as "producers on the move".
The title is awarded by the world's most influential film festival to talented film producers who are integrated into a special workshop program on the Côte d'Azur.
Other Producers on the Move in 2023 include Albanian director and producer Gentian Koçi, who was featured in the FFC competition in 2017 with his feature debut DAYBREAK, and Kosovar producer Valon Bajgora, who produced Blerta Basholli's HIVE in 2021. The Kosovar-Swiss-Albanian-Northern Macedonian co-production premiered at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival and screened in the Spectrum at the FFC. Also participating from the FFC region are Vicky Miha (Greece), Dominiks Jarmakovičs (Latvia), Vanya Rainova (Bulgaria), Emilia Haukka (Finland), Júlia Berkes (Hungary), Rasu Stancu (Romania) and Juraj Krasnohorský (Slovakia).
