As part of the East European Brunch of the FilmFestival Cottbus and the East-West co-production market connecting cottbus, Larisa Glebova from Russia received the 4,500 EUR prize of the Münchener Gesellschaft zur Wahrnehmung von Film und Fernsehrechten mbH (GWFF).Larisa Glebova is a production student at the St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television. She is a producer of BEDROOM TOWN (Director: Stanislav Malkov), which was screened in the short film competition of the FilmFestival Cottbus in 2017.
"The Gesellschaft zur Wahrnehmung von Film- und Fernsehrechten mbH has not only supported the FilmFestival Cottbus for many years with the endowment of the main prize, which is now worth 25,000 euros, but has also been instrumental in promoting young Central and Eastern European film talents," emphasises Andreas Stein, Managing Director of the organiser pool production GmbH. "The GWFF scholarship is only one part of this important support. We are very grateful to the GWFF and especially to its managing director Gerti Müller-Ernstberger for this faithful and long-lasting partnership for the benefit of the development of the festival and the promotion of young talents in Eastern Europe".
