FilmFestival Cottbus‘ partner festival FilmPolska (April 24-May 1, 2019) also presents films of the 28th edition of FFC.
Within the co-operation of FFC, the Polish Institute Berlin, Kino Krokodil, the Upper Silesian Museum and the German Culture Forum for Eastern Europe two cinematic highlights of the 2018’s FFC section Regio: Silesia are part of the programme of 14th FilmPolska: THE BEADS OF ONE ROSARY (Kazimierz Kutz, PL 1980) and ANGELUS (Lech Majewski, PL 2001). Kornel Miglus, festival curator of FilmPolska and advisor for this year’s FFC programme about Lower Silesia, and Dr. Vasco Kretschmann, Cultural advisor for Upper Silesia at the Upper Silesian Museum, provide an introduction to the films.
In addition, FilmPolska, the largest festival of Polish film abroad, shows four other films that were part of the programme of the 28th FilmFestival Cottbus: Łukasz Grzegorzeks A COACH'S DAUGHTER (U18 Youth Film Competition), VIA CARPATIA (Feature Film Competition), PANIC ATTAC (section HITS ) and COLD WAR - DER BREITENGRAD DER LIEBE (section HITS).
