On March 8th the Filmverband Sachsen e. V. invites to the network event FILMWINTER SACHSEN with the "FOKUS: Poland". Especially filmmakers and cinematographers from Saxony and Poland will join the event in Dresden. Robert Baliński from the Polish Film Institute as well as the film producer and co-founder of the film funding Wrocław, Paweł Kosuń, give an insight into the Polish funding landscape. Bernd Buder, programme director of the FilmFestival Cottbus, talks about the the festivals‘ longstanding and intensive cooperation with Poland and Polish filmmakers and producers.
The participants of the network meeting will use the first opportunity to exchange experiences between Poland and Saxony and will discuss opportunities, problems and developments for cooperation. Guests of the panel discussion following the speeches at FILMWINTER SACHSEN are: Przemek Wojcieszek (film maker), Dr. Markus Görsch (Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung/Deutsch-Polnischer Filmfond), the Leipzig producer Michaela Pnačeková (Kloos & Co. Ost UG), Ola Staszel (Director of the Neiße Film Festival), Dr. Ulrich Brochhagen (editorial director Documentation and Eastern Europe at MDR), Rainer Mende (Polish Institute in Leipzig), Britta Senn (Digital Stories Lab) and producer Thomas Jeschner (Sunday Filmproduktion, Halle/Saale).
