EDIT: Boğaziçi Film Festivali published the MEET THE JURY talk on its YouTube channel. Click here to watch.
From October 23rd to 30th, 2020, the Bosphorus Film Festival takes place for the eighth time. While the films will be shown under the slogan #AgainstAllOdds in Istanbul cinemas, following the social distancing codes, the Bosphorus Film Lab will completely go online.
The Lab takes place for the fourth time and includes a pitching session and a works-in-progress section. Seven projects will compete in the works-in-progress section, with Anne Delseth, member of the Cannes Film Festival’s Director’s Fortnight section and the Locarno Film Festival selection team, and Bernd Buder, programme director of the FilmFestival Cottbus. „I am looking forward to scout for new films from Turkey, which proved to have, despite the overall situation, an extremely creative film scene. After visiting the online-edition of the Antalya film festival in the beginning of October, which also offered an extraordinary line-up, I am sure to discover some more interesting film projects which might come on screen at the 2021 edition of the FilmFestival Cottbus“, says Buder.
At the October 26th (5 – 6 p.m., Istanbul time), Delseth and Buder will talk online about their jury commitments and the perspectives of the upcoming edition of the Bosphorus Film Lab. The „Meet the juries“-Online-Panel will be streamed at www.bogazicifilmfestivali.com/en/special-events.
