The school project based around the film FRANZ KAFKA - LOST IN FAME, runs until Friday and invites school classes to find out more about the famous writer. A Czech class is currently in Cottbus to take part in the project and on top of that, they are providing 2 schoolgirls who are taking part in the U18 jury.

For information: The exhibition ‘Ukraine - Everyday Life in War’ can be found in the Stadthalle until the end of the festival. In keeping with this, Saturday is also ‘Ukrainian Day’, when more Ukrainian films will be shown. Special: All people with a Ukrainian identity document get free entry.

Midnight Madness:

Anyone who is still in the mood for horror, splatter or feverish time travel should take a look at the ‘Midnight Madness’ section. With the films SHE LOVED BLOSSOMS MORE and CHAINSAWS WERE SINGING , two films in the late evening programme are an absolute ‘must’ when choosing a film for the evening.

SHE LOVED BLOSSOMS: Stadthalle/ 10.00 pm

CHAINSAWS WERE SINGING: Kammerbühne/ 9.00 p.m.

Spectrum:

An Olympic champion, an urban planner and a city planner. My dear recipients - What does that do? Three protagonists of 3 films from the Spectrum section.

They grapple with real-life socialism, corruption and personal destinies such as the death of their mother and yet manage to keep us all glued to the screen. If you want to see character drama, these films should definitely be on your radar for today.

KULEJ. ALL THAT GLITTERS ISN'T GOLD: Stadthalle/ 7.00 pm

WATERDROP: Kammerbühne/ 9.00 pm

ETERNITY PACKAGE: Glad- House/ 8.30 pm

Spectrum:

Ein Olympiasieger, eine Stadtplanerin und ein Stadtplaner. Meine lieben Rezipienten – Was macht das?

KULEJ. ALL THAT GLITTERS ISN'T GOLD: Stadthalle/ 19.00 Uhr

WATERDROP: Kammerbühne/ 21.00 Uhr

ETERNITY PACKAGE:  Glad- House/ 20.30 Uhr

THE FEMALE GAZE: NEW FILMS FROM THE CZECH REPUBLIC:

For those who have just a few minutes between their films in a hurry, make sure to come to the Glad House. Lenka Tyrpaková, the curator of the series (Female Gaze), will give a panel on a study dealing with the role of women in the Czech film industry. (Glad-House/17.00 h)

Six-year-old Amálka spends her summer holidays playing with her beloved cat and immersing herself in her garden fantasy world. But today everything is different. Her parents are hiding something from her. A big change is in the offing. The little girl wakes up in a new reality. What's going on? Well, that's the short summary of TINY LIGHTS - the film that runs shortly after the panel. If you want answers, you'd better get a ticket to this film.

TINY LIGHTS: Glad- House/ 6.30 pm

And just like yesterday: My dear recipients: My evening is planned. Make something of yours here at the Cottbus Film Festival!
