The festival weekend is upon us and it goes blow by blow with the most grandiose events. The Friday is mainly in the sign of Ukraine. In this festival year a total of 13 films from and 3 films about Ukraine are represented in the program of the FilmFestival Cottbus. Thus, the FFC presents at least one Ukrainian contribution in almost every section. Today we deal with the situation of Ukrainian cinema and in the country attacked by Russia in six films and two panel discussions. Upon presentation of a valid Ukrainian passport, there will be free admission to ALL films screened on Festival Friday. All further information about Ukrainian films and Ukrainian Day events can be found here.
The day is also marked by LIVE radio: from 5 to 6 p.m., rbbKultur broadcasts from the Stadthalle. Andrea Handels and Carsten Beyer lead through the show, meet exciting film guests and take a look behind the scenes of the festival. After that, it's straight on at 7 p.m.: Radioeins Filmtalk with festival guests, film and festival makers. Moderated by Kino KingKnut Elstermann. Come by and experience radio live in the festival center!
