Cottbus FilmShow about to kick off seven days of film

At 7 pm, the moment arrives: on the eve of the grand opening of the 26th FilmFestival Cottbus, the Cottbus FilmShow (Cottbuser FilmSchau) will hold its 14th edition in recognition of regional filmmaking from all of Berlin-Brandenburg and the Saxonian Lusatia region.  First in line of the four competition sections, the FilmShow not only offers a platform for presenting the 16 best short films by regional talents on the big screen. Three attractive prizes to a total value of 2750 EUR beckon the lucky winners. Here’s where the audience comes into play. They will select the presentation which fills most viewers with enthusiasm as winner of the audience award. And… action!
