A small village in the Armenian highlands. Ten-year-old Seto always wanted a brother, yet instead the newest addition to the family turns out to be an orphan lamb. The apparent harmony between the two doesn't last long however.

After his newborn little brother passes away, Seto finds a replacement brother in the form of a lamb; the boy's family soon takes a disliking to the evolving friendship however, forcing the child to part ways with his adopted milk brother.

This award-winning short from Armenian filmmaker Vahram Mkhitaryan, based in Poland since in 2005, is a wonderfully shot drama about longing for intimacy and the vicissitudes of life. BB

Vahram Mkhitaryan

Vahram Mkhitaryan - born 1977 in Yerevan, USSR. An Armenian director and photographer, he graduated in directing from Yerevan State University in 2001. He moved to Poland in 2005 as a scholar, taking up employment as an assistant at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. He later graduated from the Wajda Film School Warsaw.
