Loss. A small mountain village. Tuta's mother has died. The funeral is simple and takes place in a small group. Father and daughter find it hard to say goodbye. But life has to go on somehow. Will they make it together?

Orni Films

Life in the remote mountain village is not easy. The rough nature demands everything from its inhabitants. The herds of animals belonging to the village community are threatened by an epidemic and wolves roaming around – and this has a knock-on effect on the people’s very existence. For Tuta and her father, the loss of their mother and wife is a further burden which they deal with in different ways. While the father begins to drink, Tuta takes refuge in reading.

The camera shows a love for detail as it captures the alienation between father and daughter in impressive images and almost without any language. MM
