WOMEN FROM GEORGIA

For many East European women illegal labour migration represents the only way to provide for their families. Many of them have gone into American exile where, far from home, in New York and New Jersey, they care for elderly people. This remarkable insider's view shows the degrading conditions under which the women toil, as well as the longing for home and will to wring a little joie de vivre from life, both for themselves and their clients, that they experience. Thus, far away from home, comes into being a little piece of Georgia.
