Vlado and Anica came to Stuttgart in the 1960s, their suitcases full of hopes and the daydream of their own Adriatic hotel. Three decades later: Vlado’s dogged ambition has destroyed the last vestiges of family life. One son committed suicide, another lives a nomadic life as a would-be rock star, and the youngest is being expected to return with his parents to a “home” he does not know.
